Growth & Decay
\[ y = a(1 \pm r)^t \]
The standard model for any percentage-based change over time. \(a\) is initial, \(r\) is rate, \(t\) is time.
📝 Example: Multiplier Logic
"A value increases by 5% every year." → Multiplier is \(1.05\).
"A value decreases by 7% every week." → Multiplier is \(0.93\).
📝 Example: Compound Growth
An investment of $1000 grows by 10% annually. Value after 3 years?
\(y = 1000(1.10)^3 = 1000(1.331) = 1331\)
Result: $1331.
